Moving Currency is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy and security in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations. The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you on how and why we collect your personal information, who has access to it and how you are protected.

We collect this data in order to be able to deliver services that suit your needs. We also collect this data in order to comply with the Money Laundry Regulations and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements.

We receive data either directly from you (via telephone, registration forms, face to face, email or written) or through our affiliates who you will have given prior permission for them to pass your data onto us.

How we use your personal data and who it will be shared with

Data collected is used communicate with and inform customers when providing a service to them, to notify customers about updates to our website, shared with our partners, banks and other service providers who assist in providing support for our internal operations, and service providers who assist in providing our services such as relevant agents, affiliates, investment providers, used by us to contact customers for marketing purposes (only if customers opt-in), disclosed when legally required to do so, at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our website and applicable laws or to protect against misuse, or unauthorised, use of our website, to a successor entity in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, sale of assets or other corporate change respecting the website. We use information about you only for our own purposes. We do not pass your information on to any third parties for marketing purposes unless we have specifically obtained your permission to do so.

We use cookies to record user-specific information on what pages users access or visit, record past activity on our site in order to provide a better service when visitors return to our site, customise web page content based on visitors’ browser type or other information that the visitor sends.

How this will affect customers

Individuals who supply their contact telephone numbers online, through our website or any other means will receive telephone contact from a member of staff with information in relation to the enquiries that have been places online, via telephone or any other services that we directly supply.

Customer information may be used for new, unanticipated uses not mentioned previously in our privacy policy. If our information or services change in the future our policy will be updated to notify you of these changes, and you will be provided with the ability to “opt-in” to any new changes.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation as of May 25th 2018, you have rights as an individual to access your personal data, enabling you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and check it is correct. Correct the personal data we hold about you. Delete or remove personal data. Object to the processing of your personal data, transfer your data to a third party of your choosing, and withdraw your consent to the use of your personal data.

Personal data is stored in Portugal or with our partners in the UK.
